All faculty and staff are cordially invited to attend a celebration of Provost and Senior Vice President Philip Rous, hosted by President Valerie Sheares Ashby, at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6 on the 7th floor of the Albin O. Kuhn Library. Please join us for food, drink, and community as we honor and express our appreciation for Philip’s exceptional leadership, scholarship, and service to UMBC.
A member of the UMBC community since 1990 and provost since 2012, Philip announced his upcoming retirement last fall. He will be remembered for his strategic vision, true sense of partnership, and commitment to UMBC. He has played a significant role in UMBC’s evolution and its national reputation as a leader in research, inclusive excellence, and community engagement.
