UMBC Community:
We will host Dr. Alicia Arbaje from the Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology in Johns Hopkins University, who will give
a talk on home and community based care on Wed 4/24 starting at 10:45
in ITE 459.
As we know, the elderly
population with multiple chronic conditions is
constantly growing in size and percentage in the US. Home care is a promising area to focus on because of the possibilities to reduce costly hospital
admissions and emergency room visits for the elderly and to improve their health and well being. On the other hand, it is a truly interdisciplinary and complex
problem including various components from the social determinants of health to
clinical care to technology adoption.
Please join us on Wednesday and feel free to

departments, and centers.
